THE OTHER SIDE was an explosive antidote to stagnant pasts, igniting a fuse of experimental dance, music and light. A feast of physical, sonic and visual collisions, THE OTHER SIDE combines the talents of dancer and choreographer Brianna Kell and experimental music duo Party Dozen (Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boulet). 

THE OTHER SIDE depicts our inherent conditioning and desire to find resilience and sustenance in times of great upheaval; a multi-sensory experience exploring our need to rebuild and re-emerge from significant challenge and change.

Jodie Whalen’s immersive light installation is the final piece to this sci-fi surrealist puzzle, testing the audience’s perceptions of time. The work subverts reality and presents dance and music in a mind meld of genre-blending action. Through layered sonic, visual and physical repetitions, viewers are given the curious effect of time travel.

Part music gig, part state-driven dance, this gritty and raw new work seeks to expand both genres by pushing physical boundaries.
