Campbelltown Arts Centre’s Conscious project is an annual year-long professional artist development program for hip hop artists from Western Sydney. The program is individualised to suit the needs of each participating emerging artist. Hip-hop artist and South-West Sydney local, L-FRESH The LION leads the project as Artist Director and Producer. Conscious supports the development of career pathways for socially minded hip-hop artists with connections to Western Sydney.

The Conscious 3 cohort of artists are Clarissa Mei, P.Smid, Givitimy and Saif. With mentoring and guidance from L-FRESH & his team at Village Boy Entertainment, each artist released a single as part of the program.

Our vision is to keep building the Conscious family of artists and creatives, working with our collaborators in the region and beyond to share resources, exchange knowledge and build the hip-hop community, while supporting local artists to realise their goals and potential.
