MOUNTAIN was the second installment in a trilogy of works by choreographer and dancer Kristina Chan, following on from her break-through work, A Faint Existence and continuing her exploration of our relationship to nature and environmental change.

This new work saw three performers move through gradual processes of change in a choreography of impermanence, transformation and existential threat. Chan and her team worked with ideas of invisible landscapes and unseen forces.

C-A-C originally commissioned this work in 2015 and has supported 3 creative developments and into presentation. Chan also ran a dance workshop for 35 students from Campbelltown Performing Arts High School, taking them through some of her movement practice and her methods for making work.
