Campbelltown Arts Centre presented the first major exhibition by artist Myuran Sukumaran and a series of responsive newly commissioned artworks by leading Australian artists in Another Day in Paradise.

Co-Curated by Ben Quilty and Michael Dagostino and presented in collaboration with Sydney Festival, the exhibition presented a vast and sobering series of powerful portraits by Myuran Sukumaran which were painted during his incarceration at Bali’s (Indonesia) Kerobokan jail.

Alongside the artworks by Sukumaran, Campbelltown Arts Centre commissioned a series of artworks with the intention of exploring and responding to themes of rehabilitation, forgiveness and human rights through the multiple layers of social justice systems globally.

Another Day in Paradise brought to light the importance of compassion for humanity while proving the profound power of art to change lives.
